Cotton Electric Cooperative offers a payment method designed with busy members in mind. MyChoice is a prepay energy solution that gives you – our member – the power of choice.

MyChoice puts you in charge
You pay for electricity how and when you choose, the same way you buy groceries or gasoline. Purchasing electricity before you use it allows you to control your budget and pay how much you want, when you want. And there are no security deposits or late fees.
You will not receive a monthly statement. Your energy use and balance are calculated daily and you can track them by mobile device using the free SmartHub app or online at bill payment portal.

Please note: This form is for switching from traditional monthly billing to prepaid billing.

If you are new to Cotton Electric, you will need to fill out a Member Application first. The application includes an option to choose prepaid billing.

The meter number is on the face of the meter. The number begins with two letters and is followed by five numerical digits.

MyChoice PrePaid Billing Agreement
To enroll in MyChoice prepaid billing, I agree to the following:

1.  I am responsible for updating contact information.
2.  I am not eligible for payment arrangements.
3.  Energy assistance pledges will not keep service from being disconnected. Energy assistance monies will be applied to my account balance only when funds are received.
4.  Should I wish to discontinue Cotton Electric Prepaid program and be placed on regular monthly billing, I understand that I will be required to pay a deposit on the account.
5.  I confirm that no occupant has a condition considered life threatening without electric service. If any occupant meets this criteria in the future, I am responsible for notifying Cotton Electric and will be removed from the Prepaid program.
6.  Electric service will be subject to immediate disconnection if at any time the Prepaid account does not have a credit balance. To reconnect the account, I must pay the negative balance PLUS A $20 CREDIT.
